RAP stands for “ready at printers” and is the same as ‘ex-works’ or ‘bound copy date’. This is not the date the books sail from Port. The actual departure date, depending on the destination, can be Saturday, Monday or Thursday following the date of RAP.
It is accepted practice in the Middle East Countries for parcels to be sent to PO Boxes as long as the telephone number is on the airway bill.
ETA stands for “Estimated Time of Arrival”. It is when the books are due to be delivered.
This is their one-day weekend and Saturday and Sunday are working days. Any query you send on a Friday will be answered and waiting for you on the Monday morning.
They are GMT + 4 hours i.e. 12.30 pm UK is 4.30 pm in Dubai – in the summer (BST) this changes to + 3 hours.
They are GMT + 3 hours i.e. 12.30 pm UK is 3.30 pm in Bahrain – in the summer time (BST) this changes to + 2 hours.
